Things to do:

Figure out if I can get the Ubuntu laptop to access wireless networks again. It will see the networks (though my primary wireless card might have gone bad) but not connect. I'll need to do some research (http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/46385/) to see if I can find a solution.

Try to figure out a good mid-point stop on Thurs. I'm going to stop and visit Mom and while I could RON in Phila, it might be better if I got to N NJ or into NY that night.

I'm staying in the Five Star Inn at West Point on Thursday night. This should give me a chance to do some sightseeing and still get to MA at a reasonable hour. Also, the place is inexpensive.

Get all my kit in one sock. Except for a vintage dance and the steampunk party, I have no idea what to pack. I suspect they'll be a lot of button down shirts and khaki's in my bag (why isn't this night different than any other night?)

Figure out when I'm going to see people. I have at least two visits to make with people not going to the con and I don't want to miss the opportunity.

I still have room for a rider if they're willing to travel on Thurs/Fri and back on Mon (with Tue as a backup).

The leave is OK'ed, the car is in good shape (could use to have the fuel injectors cleaned - we'll see) and I have a room. I have a week to go and no desperate "must do's" on my list. So far, so good.

Vintage dance? OOO tell tell tell

speaking of dance ... are you going to Pennsic? Reply to email is fine too ... I could really use an experienced dance partner who is also 'safe'.

OT but as promised last night:
It's a poem that provides an interesting contrast to "Death of a ball turret gunner," Instead of a short poem about short lives, it's a long poem about long missions.

Have fun for us, too, because it sounds like something I'd like to go to....
